Cape Neddick

The residents of this Cape Neddick home wanted to incorporate the natural elements of stone, water, ornamental and native plants and have it blend seamlessly together.

After obtaining the proper permits, we transformed a swamp into a beautiful pond with a floating dock and a waterfall. Stone retaining walls were built using rocks that were found on site. Bluestone patios and walkways were added to continue with the natural colors and texture of the environment.

A pergola was installed on the side of the garage with a bluestone patio and sitting area, essentially creating an outdoor room. Ornamental and native plants were used to create an ever changing landscape with four season interest. Large stones were placed vertically and horizontally for architectural interest.

Finally, on the outskirts of the property, wildflower fields were planted. The wildflower fields and pond have attracted a tremendous amount of wildlife, including deer, turkey, fox, moose and birds of all types.
