Definitions:

Dethatching is the removal of an excessive thatch layer which can restrict the movement of air, water, fertilizer and other materials to the roots.

Aerating is the removal of small cores of soil from the lawn which reduces soil compaction. These holes encourage deep root growth by allowing water, oxygen and fertilizer to quickly reach lower root zones. Benefits include:
  • Improved air exchange between the soil and atmosphere
  • Enhanced water uptake
  • Improved fertilization uptake and use
  • Reduced water run-off and puddling
  • Improves turf grass rooting
  • Enhanced heat and drought stress tolerance
  • Enhanced thatch breakdown

    Besides being an attractive edition to your landscape, mulch provides many benefits to your plantings
  • Moderates soil temperature
  • Retains moisture
  • Provides nutrients to the soil
  • Helps simulate natural forest conditions


    • Seasonal Clean-up Spring & Fall Clean up is especially important. Removal of leaves & debris help reduce possible disease and insect problems.

    Hydro Seeding is a means of applying a mixture or slurry of water, grass seed, fertilizer, mulch and a tackifier to a prepared area. Once the mixture is applied evenly it provides an excellent environment for seed germination.

    Residential Lawns - When installing residential lawns we use
  • High quality grass seed for your specific site conditions
  • Starter fertilizer provides the nutrients necessary for initial growth and establishment
  • Mulch helps control erosion, retains moisture and helps seed to stay in place
  • Tackifier is used to hold mixture in place
  • Polymers can be used for added water retention
  • Pre Emergents can also be used to help control weeds

    • Erosion Control - Hydro seeding is an ideal method for establishing vegetation on problem areas such as :embankments, hill sides, drainage, ditches, construction sites, and other locations where erosion control is necessary.
